The Regional Technical Manager
The Regional Technical Manager is a full time, salaried position that reports to the Vice- President of Construction Operations and works closely with the Director of Technical Services. Experience and responsibilities:
- Requirements
- At least 5 years in construction management on large scale projects
- Extensive familiarity and experience with concrete construction
- Ability to do technical work in the field
- Ability and willingness to travel to jobs in Eastern region and internationally when necessary
- Construction Knowledge and Abilities
- Be comfortable working on small to very large jobsites
- Particular familiarity with concrete construction, mix design, pouring techniques, etc.
- Ability to read plans and decipher the best uses and challenges of Hycrete concrete for each project
- Be knowledgeable of closure techniques required to stop leaks in walls, slabs, tunnels, etc.
- Ability to implement and inspect proper placement of waterstops throughout the jobsite
- Inspect projects after closure. If leaks exist work with techs to close them
- Support of the Regional and Corporate team, including help with that arise, especially about construction techniques, potential uses, limitations, etc.
- Leadership
- Act as project leader, but also be able to do all duties of technicians and help them directly when necessary
- Recruit, interview, and hire technicians and supervisors in coordination with Director of Technical Services.
- Evaluate the performance of all direct reports and be able to make recommendations as to continued employment, promotions, raises, and bonuses.
- Safety
- Full knowledge of all OSHA requirements as well as any Jobsite Specific Requirements
- Ensure direct reports are able to carry out their job duties in a safe manner
- Embrace a “Zero Accidents” philosophy, yet be prepared to conduct a full accident report and investigation should an accident occur
- Customer Service and Satisfaction
- Provide unparalleled customer service to clients and partners, including concrete producer, contractor, owner/developer, and architect/engineer
- Provide information and assistance to Hycrete personnel involved with the job, particularly salespeople
- Maintain quality relationships with Concrete Producer’s Sales, QC/QA, Technical, and Batch Plant staff. Ensure product is in inventory and dispensing requirements are in place. Be the liaison between technicians and contractor and owner staff.
- Help with the preparation and testing of trial batches, including mix design, slump and air testing, casting cylinders, etc
- Attend pre-pour meetings and communicate any special Hycrete requirements
- Monitor concrete placements and batching to ensure quality concrete construction
- Meet project time and budget requirements
- Effectively schedule Concrete Technicians and Supervisors
- Complete reports and follow costs
- Expedite and make purchases of materials and equipment to ensure on-time delivery of Hycrete system
- Sales
- Be fully knowledgeable of Hycrete, Inc. products and services, their value proposition, best uses, limitations, etc.. Facilitate sales and up selling.
- Attend and/or lead sales demonstration, job site visits, and other meetings to provide potential and existing clients with detailed information about Hycrete products and services. The provide support and assistance in landing the job.
