Slab on Grade
Hycrete Element Admixture enables real-time waterproofing that is completed at the time of concrete placement. Slab on grade waterproofing commonly involves sandwiching a membrane between two layers of concrete, which requires more material and does not resolve the issue of wicked ground water. Hycrete Element concrete is hydrophobic and provides the following benefits:
- Prevents Moisture Ingress
- Shown to Reduce Water Vapor Transmission. Not YET shown to be sufficient Vapor Barrier to provide for Sheet Vinyl Flooring Applications, but Testing in Progress.
- Reduced time for drying after getting wet to help Speed Flooring or Coating Operations
